Balayage is right for you if…

  • You want brighter, dimensional hair but can only come in every 3–5 months
  • You're brunette and want caramel, honey or bronde without a harsh regrowth line
  • You've had foil highlights and want something softer and more natural
  • You want your first-ever color and don't want to commit to a schedule

How the appointment goes

  1. Consultation. Sasha looks at your hair history, texture and how you style it, and shows you where the light will sit. Inspiration photos are welcome.
  2. Hand-painting. Lightener is painted freehand in sweeping sections, so the result matches your haircut and how your hair falls.
  3. Toner and treatment. A custom toner removes any warmth you don't want, and a bond-builder protects the hair.
  4. Blow-dry and home care. You leave styled, with product advice so the color stays clean until your next visit.

Balayage vs. AirTouch vs. foils

Balayage is painted and looks most sun-kissed. AirTouch gives a lighter overall blonde with an even softer blend. Foil highlights are the brightest and most uniform, but need more frequent upkeep. If you're not sure, book a free consultation and Sasha will recommend one.

Balayage questions

How long does balayage last?

Because there's no hard line, most clients come back every 3–5 months for a refresh, with an optional gloss in between to keep the tone fresh.

Will it damage my hair?

Any lightening changes the hair, but balayage lifts fewer strands than a full set of foils, and every service includes a bond-building treatment. Sasha won't push hair past what it can safely handle in one visit.

Does balayage work on dark hair?

Yes. On dark brunettes it gives caramel and toffee tones; going very light from dark can take two sessions, which Sasha will tell you at the consultation.
